The decision is a major win for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, Spirit Lake Nation, and individual Native voters who successfully challenged the state’s 2021 redistricting plan — only to see the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals later rule they lacked standing to sue.
