The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) 2026 Strategic Plan Listening Tour is underway. The first listening session was held in Milwaukee today and the next stop is in Billings, Montana on Thursday, March 5, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center.
With a mission “to advocate as the united voice of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes, NIHB seeks to reinforce Tribal sovereignty, strengthen Tribal health systems, secure resources, and build capacity to achieve the highest level of health and well-being for our People,” the National Indian Health Board looks to the future.
The intention of the listening tour is bring conversation directly to tribal leaders, partners, and communities to shape what comes next for #NIHB.
Part of the NIHB’s promotion for the listening tour says:
“Every voice matters. Every story counts. Every insight helps guide our next strategic plan. Can’t attend in person? We’ve got virtual sessions, surveys, and office hours too! However you join, your voice shapes what’s next."
