Former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland (Laguna Pueblo) on Saturday released the first advertisement of her campaign for governor of New Mexico, titled“Who Fights.”

Haaland, a former member of Congress and cabinet official, is the only candidate in the race with both legislative experience in Congress and executive experience overseeing a federal agency with an $18 billion annual budget.

According to her campaign, the ad highlights Haaland’s leadership record and her focus on advocating for New Mexicans.

“Deb Haaland has a record of delivering for New Mexicans—getting five of her bills signed into law by Donald Trump while protecting our healthcare, public lands, and fundamental rights. She knows the struggles New Mexicans face because she’s lived them. And she has the experience and leadership to move our state forward,” said Haaland Campaign Manager Dylan McArthur.

WHO FIGHTS” HERE

[Voice Over]: New Mexicans need a fighter, and ours is Deb Haaland, a single mom who struggled to afford groceries and rent. A leader who took on Trump to protect our healthcare and won.

As governor, she’ll stand up to the billionaires rigging the system against us, protecting our communities from ICE, and fighting for a strong New Mexico with better schools, safer streets, and a more affordable life for us all.

Tested, ready, fierce.
