Colusa Indian Energy was honored to take part in the Port of Quincy’s Town Hall Meeting on the Columbia Basin Power Project, held February 12 in Quincy, Washington. The event brought together community members, business leaders, and regional stakeholders for an open dialogue about the future of energy reliability and economic development across Central Washington.

During the meeting, Colusa Indian Energy shared project updates, discussed development insights, and distributed a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) resource to address key topics and community interests.

“We were very encouraged by the turnout and the quality of the discussion throughout the evening,” said Colusa Indian Energy COO Kenneth Ahmann. “Attendees came prepared with thoughtful questions and a genuine interest in exploring what energy reliability and economic growth mean for Central Washington’s future.”

The Columbia Basin Power Project is currently being evaluated as a potential regional energy solution to support both current and future industrial power needs while helping to resolve capacity constraints that have limited growth in the area.

The Town Hall concluded with a robust Q&A session, underscoring the importance of transparency, collaboration, and local input as the project continues through its evaluation and planning stages.

“Community involvement is essential to developing responsible, forward-looking energy infrastructure,” added Ahmann. “We value the engagement and look forward to continuing these important conversations as the project moves forward.”

Colusa Indian Energy remains committed to working in partnership with the Port of Quincy, regional stakeholders, and community members to advance reliable energy solutions that foster jobs, industry, and long-term regional prosperity.
