A collection of papers donated by Dr. Nancy Marie Mithlo (Fort Sill Chiricahua Warm Springs Apache Tribe) ’85—Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) alum, former IAIA Professor, and former IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) acting director—have been processed recently and are now available as the Nancy Marie Mithlo Papers (IAIAMS032) at the IAIA Research Center for Contemporary Native Arts (RCCNA), which opened its archives to researchers this past summer.

Bacone College that has a student body of 65 percent Native Americans will suspend its Spring 2024 semester because of financial difficulties. To assist students to avoid an interruption in their educational journeys, Northeastern State University (NSU), located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, is offering a seamless transfer of credits for Bacone College students.

The American Indian College Fund has received a $300,000 grant from CoBank to provide scholarships to American Indian and Alaska Native students over the next three years. The grant will provide $100,000 per year for 20 students scholarships in the amount of $4,500.
