FORT HALL, IDAHO – Shoshone-Bannock Tribes are giving back to the community! The Fort Hall Business Council, Fort Hall Casino, and Shoshone-Bannock Hotel & Event Center are pleased to announce a food donation to feed 100 Idahoan families.
The Fort Hall Business Council and staff from the Casino and Hotel will be at the Pocatello Idaho Food bank on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2:30PM to present a check in the amount of $3,050.00 that represents the value of the food. Donated goods include holiday meals to feed 100 families; a meal includes a turkey, a pie, canned vegetables, canned cranberries, and a bag of potatoes.
In November, the Fort Hall Casino donated hams and also volunteered at Pocatello’s Cranks-giving fundraiser. In January 2016, the Fort Hall casino will be sponsoring their annual canned food drive at the Bingo hall which will be distributed to the local Idaho food banks.
Overall, ‘giving’ to others is part of honoring the Tribes culture and heritage. The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes are pleased to engage in giving back to the community to help solve hunger in Idaho.
