WASHINGTON — With the National Congress of Americans Indians in the nation’s capital for the its 2019 Executive Council Winter Session, delegates on Monday evening attended a Congressional reception on Capitol Hill to meet with the first two American Indian women ever elected to the Congress, Rep. Deb Haaland and Rep. Sharice Davids.
Nine-month-old Arwyn Foster, who received her tribal card from the Muscogee (Creek) Nation last week, was brought to the reception by her father, Tol Foster.
From the look in the eyes of Rep. Deb Haaland and little Arwyn, the two hit it off well.
