TOPPENISH, Wash. — KYNR 1490-AM station on the Yakama Nation is off the air until further notice. This comes after bugulars gained entry early Tuesday morning after kicking in a wall-mountaed air conditioner and stole valuable broadcast equipment, according to the Yakama Hearld.

“The radio station is a crucial part of the local conversation – “Morning Man” Roy Dick reads stories from local newspapers and he, Reggie and Ryan all broadcast important information throughout the day. They should never be silenced by something like this,” writes a fan on Facebook.
