WASHINGTON — During a guest appearance on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blizter,” the chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, Senator John Barrasso (Wyoming-R) on Monday afternoon told Blizter he is a supporter of Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
“I am a supporter of Donald Trump in terms of getting the economy growing again…I want to get America to grow again. He is the person to do it,” said Barrasso.
Barrasso said he was among a group of United States senators who met with Donald Trump last week Thursday when the presumptive nominee was in Washington, D.C.
“This nation cannot afford another four years like we have had with Barack Obama,” said Barrasso. “We raised issues that we thought were important, I’m with Donald Trump.”
Barrasso never mentioned American Indians during his ten minute-plus interview.
