US Senator Martin Heinrich
CROWNPOINT, NEW MEXICO – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) will travel to Navajo Technical University on Friday, June 5 to tour NTU’s STEM Education programs and campus. The trip is part of regional visit Senator Heinrich is making to the state, which will also include engagements for a grand opening of a VA clinic and a tour of an affordable housing site in Gallup.
Senator Heinrich’s tour will feature NTU’s STEM education programs, which have expanded in recent years to include three Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Natural Resources, Industrial Engineering, and Electrical Engineering; and three Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in IT – Computer Science, IT – Digital Manufacturing, and IT – New Media. The tour will primarily be taking place in NTU’s Information Technology Building and Digital Manufacturing Building, but also NTU’s Veterinary Clinic Teaching Hospital – where Senator Heinrich will be introduced to NTU’s Associate of Science degree program in Veterinary Technology.
