Two Dead in Two Vehicle Collision on Fort Hall Indian Reservation

FORT HALL, IDAHO – Fort Hall Police and FBI are investigating a two vehicle collision at Hawthorne and Cemetery Road which was reported at approximately 0300 hours this morning.

Based on the preliminary investigation, a truck driven by Ruben Wounded Head (18 yrs) crossed the centerline on Hawthorne Road and struck an SUV driven by Garrett Osborne, 25, with passenger Jessica Stump, 30. Both Osborne and Stump were pronounced deceased on scene. Both were tribal citizens of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

Wounded Head was transported to Portneuf Medical Center critical injuries. At this time he is being charged with reckless driving in tribal court and federal charges are pending further investigation. The families of all parties involved have been notified.

The incident is still under investigation.
