GREAT FALLS, Mont. — During a typical tirade during his typical stump speech geared to fire up his base, on Thursday night Donald Trump ranted he would offer Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) to give a $1 million to give to her favorite charity if she agrees to a DNA test to prove she is American Indian.
Trump resurrected his racial slur “Pocahontas” when referring to Sen. Warren. American Indian leaders have denounced Trump’s continued usage of Pocahontas when referring to the senator.
“We’ll take that little kit and say, we have to do it gently because we are in the Me Too generation, and we will very gently take that kit, slowly toss it” to her, Trump said, adding that he would offer $1 million to charity if she took the test and it “shows you are an Indian.”
He told his base gathered in Great Falls, he thinks the senator would decline his offer.
The senator has heard all his Pocahontas before and chose not to respond on Thursday night. Instead, on Friday focused in on Trump’s DNA statement and she referenced the report the Trump adminstration is conducting DNA tests to unite children taken from their parents at the southern border of the United States.
She tweeted this to the president:
“While you obsess over my genes, your Admin is conducting DNA tests on little kids because you ripped them from their mamas & you are too incompetent to reunite them in time to meet a court order,” Warren tweeted.
