WASHINGTON – The White House announced on Sunday evening, President Donald Trump will end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals progam, commonly known as DACA, that began by President Barack Obama.  The program grants work permits to undocumented immigrants who arrived in the United States as children.

The White House plans to delay the enforcement of Trump’s decision for six months, allowing Congress time to act on any modifications, according to the White House.

The official announcement on Trump’s decision is expected to be made this coming week.
