FORT HALL, IDAHO – The Shoshone-Bannock Indian Festival is the largest outdoor cultural powwow in the State of Idaho. The annual Festival started in the summer of 1964 and is sponsored by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes held at the Delbert Farmer Arbor.

The four-day Festival includes: a competition powwow, two rodeos, a cultural pageant, a softball tournament, men & women’s golf tournaments, exhilarating Indian relay horse racing, art show, two parades, traditional hand game tournaments, Indigenous children’s games, a skate board jam, a traditional buffalo & salmon feast, a fun-run, and much more all within walking distance.

The Festival is represented by royalty including Miss Shoshone-Bannock and four younger title holders that participate in ongoing cultural and business events on and off the reservation throughout the year.  The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes are well known as the ‘best bead workers’ and having the ‘best traditional brain tanned deer hides’ in Indian Country.
