AMERIND will shed light on how to protect residents and employees, expand risk management and financial acumen, enhance claim management skills & more
SANTA ANA PUEBLO, NEW MEXICO — Calling all Human Resources directors, housing authority employees, Tribal officer managers and gaming operations professionals across Indian Country. Registration is open for the 2017 AMERIND Risk Institute, hosted at Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 10-11.
AMERIND Risk created the Institute 17 years ago to equip Tribal leaders and employees with critical knowledge concerning safety, risk management, insurance processes, and finance. The comprehensive, training program tackles a broad range of topics. Areas of focus include liability, workers’ compensation, insurance claims, and other pertinent information to protect Tribal property and workforce.
The Institute will also dive into ways to support your community through valuable programs offered by AMERIND Risk. Discover how AMERIND Critical Infrastructure (ACI) can bring broadband Internet to your community. Human Resources employees, familiarize yourself with the variety of employee coverage options through AMERIND Benefits. Conversations will revolve around high-deductible health plans, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, and much more.
Get the full scoop on topics of concentration at the Institute at amerindrisk.org/event/2017-amerind-risk-institute.
The two-day Institute will also feature more than 20 exhibitors, who will showcase their products and services. Exhibit opportunities are still available; click here to reserve your space, or contact Nancy Harjo Serna for additional information at (505) 404-5000 or NSerna@AMERINDRisk.org.
The Institute overlaps the nine-day Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, hosted October 7-15, 2017. During the annual event, more than 500 colorful hot air balloons take flight. Admire the vibrant spectacle while you enjoy your continental breakfast on the 9th floor of Sandia Resort & Casino on Wednesday morning, October 11th. RSVP to the Rise & Shine Balloon Viewing is required, though the viewing is included in your registration fee.
The early bird registration fee is $195 through August 25th, with the price increasing to $245 on August 26th. Those who register by August 25th will be entered into prize drawings for the chance to win either an Apple iWatch or a complimentary balloon ride during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! Drawings will be held during the Opening General Session on Tuesday, October 10th.
Registered attendees will receive hotel reservation instructions, along with a discount code, in their registration confirmation email. Last year, the host hotel, Sandia Resort & Casino, sold-out in advance of the Institute. Overflow guests were referred to nearby accommodations.
