Senate Committee on Indian Affairs Committee Business Meeting & Hearing Set

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, September 13 at 2:30 PM EDT, the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs will hold a business meeting to consider:

·         H.R. 984, the Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2017;

·         S. 1285, the Oregon Tribal Economic Development Act; and

·         S. 1333, the Tribal HUD-VASH Act of 2017.

The business meeting will be immediately followed by a committee oversight hearing on “High Risk Indian Programs: Progress and Efforts in Addressing GAO’s Recommendations.”
