Looking for Native youth to participate
WASHINGTON — Operation AmeriCorps is our new program to help tribal and local leaders use AmeriCorps to accomplish big things in their community.
As a reminder, the intent to apply for Operation AmeriCorps is due by December 29 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
While the intent to apply is not required, it is strongly encouraged. The intent to apply only requires a short email— details are available on the Operation AmeriCorps Notice of Funding webpage.

- Updated information on which states require applicants to apply through their State Service Commission (which may have submission deadlines prior to the January 13, 2015 application deadline)
Operation AmeriCorps will provide tribal leaders, mayors, county executives, school district superintendents, and other local government leaders with the AmeriCorps human capital resources to implement a bold change in their community. For the first time, Operation AmeriCorps allows for a single application for all AmeriCorps programs, including AmeriCorps State and National, AmeriCorps VISTA, and AmeriCorps NCCC.
Operation AmeriCorps applications, which consist of a concept paper of no more than 10 pages, are due January 13, 2015. We hope that you will strongly consider applying for this unique grant opportunity.
