HORTON, KANSAS – The Longest Walk 5.2 visited the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.

They were warmly greeted by Rose Allen, who made provisions for the long walkers to have sleeping arrangements.

Nora Parker, director of the tribe’s education program,was a tour guide and showed the long walkers the beauty of the area. They went to the senior center for a great lunch; traveled to her home met her family and was taken to the dam.

The Longest Walkers were joined by the community on  Goldfinch Rd, on Wednesday, May 5.

Longest Walk 5.2 will arrive in Washington D.C. at the Lincoln Memorial on July 15, 2017. All are welcome!
