HUD Senior Official Joseph P. Galvan to Speak at Housing Workshop on Pokagon Land

DOWAGIAC, Mich. – Pokagon Band Home Ownership, Workshop and Celebration. Members of the media are invited to the Community Center of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi for a keynote address from U.S. Housing and Urban Development Regional Director Joseph P. Galvan. Galvan’s presentation is part of a day-long workshop for Pokagon Band Citizens interested in buying a home. The ceremony and remarks, which include Administrator Galvan’s keynote address, begin at 10 a.m. He is expected to make a significant announcement during the presentation.

In addition to remarks by Galvan and Mark Butterfield, other representatives will also present various programs for home ownership at this workshop, as well as conduct a panel discussion on home-buying. A home buyer celebration will recognize tribal citizens who have previously taken part in the program, and a children’s community planning workshop will also be part of the day.
