EAGLE BUTTE, SOUTH DAKOTA — Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Chairman, Harold C. Frazier is setting a date of July 29, 2015 for the ceremonial ground breaking to mark the construction for the $2.8 million, 7th Generation Cinemas located at Eagle Butte, South Dakota on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation.

The Cinemas will have two (2) full size theatres and a total seating capacity for 184 customers, both theatres will be equipped with state of the art digital cinema projection systems and digital surround sound system that will bring any movie to life. The 6,252 Square Foot Facility also includes full service concessions that will quench the thirstiest mouths and fill up those hankering for a tasty snack.

Leading the groundbreaking is Chairman Harold C. Frazier, accompanying him will be Lyle Smith, Tribal Project Department Director; those also scheduled to in attendance are Tribal Council Representatives and the general public. The ground breaking will be held at the “old” IHS hospital site located on North Main Street, Eagle Butte, South Dakota. This event is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. – MDT.

The Movie Theatre is just one of Chairman Frazier’s initiatives to bring forth opportunities intended for the younger generations while creating jobs and entertainment aimed at those on the reservation.
