SISSETON, SOUTH DAKOTA — Tragedy has struck the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation home of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe with a shooting that left four people dead, including the shooter Saturday morning.
Colter Richard Arbach has been identified as shooter.
The Lake Traverse Indian Reservation is located in the northeastern section of South Dakota. The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe has some 13,000 tribal citizens.
At publication time there is little information available.
What is known at press time is a shooter went to a private residence and shot four people, three of whom are deceased. He then took the gun and shot himself.
The alleged shooter has been identified as Colter Richard Arbach, 22. The identities of those shot and killed have not been released by law enforcement by early afternoon.
The Roberts County Sheriff Department is expected to release more information as it becomes available.
