Tribes and health organizations come together to improve the health of Indian Country in Kansas.

MAYETTA, KANSAS – Health issues impacting American Indians contribute to overall well-being in the lives of tribal citizens. In an effort to improve the health of tribal citizens in Kansas and Nebraska, tribal health officials have set next Tuesday, August 29, 2017, for its Fifth Annual Tribal Health Summit at the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in Mayetta, Kansas.

In the previous years, the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas, Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, and Sac & Fox Nation of Missouri in Kansas and Nebraska and their strategic partners have worked diligently to identify health disparities and address them through promotion of health interventions.
