SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI – The Association for Women in Communications (AWC) has bestowed its annual Clarian award on the Chickasaw Cultural Center (CCC) for its outstanding website presence to promote the largest center of its kind in the United States.
Additionally, the CCC was named the Best State Tourism Destination by “The Oklahoman” newspaper’s “Readers Choice Award.”
“Oklahoman” readers also selected Riverwind Casino, owned by the Chickasaw Nation, as the “Best In-State Casino.” Riverwind is located just off Interstate 35 at state Highway 9 near Norman.
In describing the Chickasaw Cultural Center, located in Sulphur, the “Oklahoman” said it “offers a world of opportunity to learn and connect with Chickasaw history. Combining natural architectural elements and breathtaking scenery, the 109-acre campus provides no shortage of activities and adventures for visitors of all ages.

The state’s largest daily newspaper described Riverwind Casino as “one of the largest casinos in Oklahoma, featuring 219,000 square feet of electronic games, table games, poker and more. This large casino floor boasts over 2,800 electronic games, 20 table games, a poker room and off-track betting for gamblers looking for a variety of gaming options.
