Cherokee Nation Hosts College, Career Fair

TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation hosts a free, College and Career Night Thursday for parents and students to get information on industry certifications, colleges and potential scholarships.

The free event is from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Tsa-La-Gi ballroom, behind the Restaurant of the Cherokees, in Tahlequah. It’s open to the public.

Students will have access to representatives from about a dozen colleges and universities, including Northeastern State University, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, University of Arkansas, Rogers State University and more.

Information will also be presented about the Gates Millennium Scholarship; Cherokee Nation scholarships, including housing assistance; and how to complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid forms.

Refreshments and door prizes will be available.
