Century-old American Indian Items Stolen from Storage Unit in Pendleton, Oregon

PENDLETON, OREGON – Police in Pendleton, Oregon is asking for assistance in locating several irreplaceable American Indian regalia and artifacts that were stolen last week from a Pendleton, Oregon storage unit.

The items stolen were over a century old and are of significant cultural and historical value that cannot be replaced or duplicated.

According to Pendleton Police, the department was made aware of the theft Wednesday. Items missing from the storage units include beaded buckskin dresses, war shirts, vests, martingales, horse trappings, leggings, beaded purses, moccasins, headbands, chokers and an eagle feather fan.
