Candidate for South Dakota State Legislature Earns Endorsement from DLLC Red Dawn Foster Supported by Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee

RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA—Red Dawn Foster, candidate for the South Dakota State Legislature, earns official endorsement from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee approaching this year’s November election. Red Dawn is running for District 27 in the State of South Dakota, which includes Oglala Lakota County, home of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

“I am beyond thrilled to have earned national support and endorsement from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee,” said Red Dawn Foster. “With support at such a high level, it is my intention to move forward, to expand Medicaid to all South Dakotans, increase funding in education, support and advocate Veteran’s issues and increase jobs and economic development to earn the people’s vote in District 27 this election.”

Red Dawn Foster specializes in economic development consulting for tribes throughout the United States. She serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Lakota Funds CDFI, a local non-profit organization dedicated to economic development for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and is a proponent for the legalization of industrial Hemp for the State of South Dakota. Red Dawn is an alumna of the University of Colorado at Denver, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and the University of Notre Dame, where she received her Master of Arts degree in Business Administration.
