Boarding School Healing Coalition is Seeking Board Nominations

MINNEAPOLIS — The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) announced a call for nominations for its board of directors.

The Mission of NABS is to lead in the pursuit of understanding and addressing the ongoing trauma created by the US Indian Boarding School policy.

The organizations is seeking the following types of candidates who are willing to share their experience and talents to help advance the mission of the Boarding School Healing Coalition:

  • Boarding School Survivors
  • Expert in non-profit accounting and finance
  • Fluent in their native language

Just as important, the organization is also interested in receiving nominations for candidates with a commitment to Native American communities and boarding school healing.

Please note: 1) only Regular Members of the Coalition are eligible to serve on the board or vote in the board election; and 2) board candidates must be, or must become, a Regular Member prior to joining the board.
