ATLANTA – All eyes will be on Shoni Schimmel, a tribal citizen of the Confederated Tribe of Umatilla Indians, for more than her basketball talents tonight as the Atlanta Dream plays the Chicago Sky. Tonight is Native American Night at Philips Arena in Atlanta.
Native American Night is part of the Atlanta Dream Heritage Series.
The first 5,000 fans will receive an American Indian lanyard. Fans will be treated to American Indian dancing during a pre-game celebration.
The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
Then the celebation of Native American heritage continues on Sunday, June 21, as the Dream play the New York Liberty at 3:00 p.m.
