GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Homecoming of the Three Fires Traditional Powwow along the banks of the Grand River in Grand Rapids kicked off on Saturday.
The powwow that celebrates the culture of the three tribes unique to the region — Ojibwe, Ottawa and Potawatomi — demonstrates the staying power of the three tribes that are vibrant in Michigan.
The powwow continues on Sunday with grand entry at 1pm – EDT.
