Leonard DiCaprio Wins Golden Globe – Shout Out to Indigenous Communities: “It is time that we recognize your history”

HOLLYWOOD — Leonardo DiCaprio won the Golden Globe Award for best actor in a drama for his performance in “The Revenant” on Sunday night.

“I want to share this award with all the First Nation People represented in this film and all the indigenous communities around the world,” DiCaprio said during his acceptance speech.

“It is time that we recognize your history and that we protect your indigenous lands from corporate interests,” DiCaprio continued.
